GABRIELE MÜNTER
THE HUMAN IMAGE

11.02.23 - 21.05.23

Gabriele Münter (1877-1962) is one of the most important Expressionists. For the first time, the exhibition focuses on the artist's portraits. Her paintings, prints, drawings, and photographs reveal a great diversity of media and styles. Sometimes expressively coloured, sometimes in a more muted palette, or also in the style of New Objectivity - the portrait was Münter's very own terrain and demonstrates her unique desire to experiment.

The exhibition is sponsored by Hapag-Lloyd and Claus and Annegret Budelmann.
